This one is a must, – Awakino Estate – if you love farm experiences, it’s on the outskirts of Taranaki,that’s what I say, but this is what Awakino say: about Taranaki/Awakino. Although technically Awakino is not within the Taranaki region the locals have a really strong affinity with Taranaki, because it is the place you get the first views of Mt Egmont/Taranaki as you are travelling from the North. Back to Awakino Estate – It has 3,300 acres overlooking the Tasman sea allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the natural wonder of the central north island of New Zealand.
